CCIW Release

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - For the sixth time in her career and the second time in as many weeks, Illinois Wesleyan University women's golfer Macy Ludwig (Effingham, Ill.-St. Anthony) was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Women's Golfer of the Week the league office announced Wednesday, Sept. 18.

Ludwig led the Titans to a runner-up finish at the IWU Fall Classic, Sept. 14-15, as the senior tied for second individually. In a deep field of 124 players, Ludwig carded rounds of one-over and one-under to post a 36-hole total of even-par 144 on the par-72 Ironwood Golf Course. Her performance marked the 10th top-five performance of Ludwig's career.

The Effingham, Ill. native has earned the award the past four times the Titans have been eligible for it. She was named the CCIW's awardee April 17 and April 24 last spring. Additionally, Ludwig and Katie Klosterman are the only Illinois Wesleyan women's golfer to earn it in back-to-back weeks since 2013. Klosterman repeated as the league's weekly recipient Sept. 11 and Sept. 18, 2013.

The Green and White hit the course this weekend, Sept. 22-23, for the UW-Whitewater Invite. The two-day tournament will be played at TPC Wisconsin in Madison.
