BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Coming off the Midwest Tournament weekend, the Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team sets its sights on Knox College for a midweek match, Wednesday, Sept. 11. Kickoff is slated for 5 p.m. at Jorge Prats Field in Galesburg, Ill.

IWU's stint at the Midwest Tournament in River Forest, Ill. was stunted by a pair of 2-0 losses to Wartburg College and No. 7 University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, Sept. 7-8. The highlight of the weekend came from freshman Grace Kiewiet (Leawood, Kan.-Notre Dame de Sion) who racked up 15 saves against UWL to hold the Eagles to a two-goal lead, the smallest margin of victory UWL had seen so far this season. Kiewiet's 15 saves were good for third-most in a single game by a Titan all-time and rank 25th nationally this season.

The Green and White enters Wednesday's contest 0-4 while Knox is 0-3. IWU owns a 4-1 advantage in the series history, having won its last four matchups against Knox. A season ago, the Titans shutout the Prairie Fire, 4-0, Sept. 6, 2023, having been led by then-freshman Ava Mapes (Golden, Colo.-Lakewood) who scored two goals in the contest. Now-sophomore Sophie Lampert (Hudson, Ill.-Normal West) also put away a goal to extend the Titan win.
