Twelve Titans Named NFCA Scholar-Athletes

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -
The Illinois Wesleyan University softball team saw a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin-leading 12 student-athletes named National Fastpitch Coaches Association Scholar-Athletes, the organization announced Tuesday, Aug. 6.

Earning the honor for the Green and White were Maya Black (Sprlingfield, Ill.-Glenwood), Annika Brown (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal Community), Kennady Estes (Warrenton, Mo.-Warrenton), Megan Fontanetta (Arlington Heights, Ill.-Buffalo Grove), Margo Geary (St. Charles, Ill.-St. Charles North), Mallory Holland (Shelbyville, Ill.-Shelbyville), Ava Khoury (Columbia, Ill.-Columbia), Jen Kuhn (Normal, Ill.-University High), Hailey Milgazo (Poway, Calif.-Poway), Elyssa Stenger (Bloomington, Ill.-Central Catholic), Bailey Turner (Normal, Ill.-Normal West), and Hope Yeoman (Lafayette, Ind.-William Henry Harrison). In all, IWU was one of two CCIW institutions to have individuals recognized. Elmhurst University garnered 10 honorees.

The academic awards cap off a strong 2024 campaign for the Titans. Illinois Wesleyan won both the CCIW regular season and tournament titles, won its first NCAA regional game since 2019, and collected several athletic awards.
