CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. -
On the heels of an incredible career donning the Green and White as a member of the Illinois Wesleyan University women's golf team, Emma Thorman (Macomb, Ill.-Macomb) was recognized as an All-American Honorable Mention Friday, June 7, as the Women's Golf Coaches Association of America announced its final awards of the 2023-24 year.

Thorman played in 26.5 rounds in her senior season, posting a program-record average of 74.9 strokes per round over 11 tournaments. She collected six top-five finishes, eight top-10 placements, and finished in the top-20 in all but one tournament. Thorman tallied six rounds of par-or-better, the most by a Titan in a single season in program history.

She carded the program's best 54-hole and 72-hole scores ever. Her 54-hole mark was established at the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Championship, where she earned medalist honors with a three-day total of 218.

Thorman set the program's 72-hole record at the NCAA Division III National Championship, where she tied for third with a score of 293. It marked the first sub-300 total by a Titan in program history, and headlined a record-setting team scoring total.

Friday's announcement marked another award in Thorman's storied career that already includes CCIW Champion, All-CCIW, WGCA All-Region, CCIW Golfer of the Week, and countless other honors.

Overall, Thorman is the 11th WGCA All-American selection in program history. She joins Lexi Onsrud (Second Team - 2023), Katie Klosterman (Second Team - 2012), Rose Kelly (Honorable Mention - 2011), Lindsey Haines (Honorable Mention - 2010 & Second Team - 2009), Erica Woodall (Second Team - 2010), Taylor Paskell (Second Team - 2007 & Honorable Mention - 2006), Stephanie Morton (Honorable Mention - 2003), and Gail Nelson (First Team 2003).
