Four Titans Garner IMLCA All-Region 5 Honors

Black and Campagna earn First Team while Seeley and Tervo notch honorable mention

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Four Titans from the Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team were named Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association Division III All-Region 5 honorees, Monday, June 17. Seniors Gage Black (Peoria, Ill.-Dunlap) and Michael Campagna (Arlington Heights, Ill.-Saint Viator) earned first team honors, while senior Trystan Seeley (Castle Rock, Colo.-Castle View) and junior Colin Tervo (West Linn, Ore.-West Linn) were honorable mention selections. 

Black earns first team distinction at midfield for the second straight season after a dominating senior campaign. The midfielder led the team with 71 points and 51 goals while his 14 man-up goals were good for the team lead and a No. 2 national ranking. Black picked up his third All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin honor of his career being named to the conference's first team for the second straight season. He finished off his season with United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-America Honorable Mention honors alongside defensive counterpart, Campagna. 

Campagna earns his first Defensemen All-Region 5 nod of his storied career, adding to his list of accomplishments this season that includes USILA All-America Honorable Mention, USILA Scholar All-American, All-CCIW First Team, and CCIW Defensive Player of the Year. Campagna led the Titan defense with 33 caused turnovers marking the second-most in a single season for IWU while his 51 ground balls were the third-most on the team this season. 

Seeley landed on the Midfield All-Region 5 Honorable Mention squad after a senior season that featured the team's third-most goals with 34 while totaling 50 points on the season. Seeley is a two-time All-CCIW honoree after being selected to the conference's first team in April. He was named the CCIW Offensive Player of the Week, April 2. 

The Titans' primary resident between the posts, Tervo garnered Goalie All-Region 5 Honorable Mention. The junior totaled 827 minutes in goal while posting a 13-4 record on the year. Tervo led IWU with 187 saves to go along with a .528 save percentage. A First Team All-CCIW selection in 2024, Tervo recorded a career-high 21 saves against North Central, April 10. 

A total of 10 student-athletes represented the CCIW with All-Region honors. IWU had the most individuals with four while Elmhurst had three, Carthage College had two, and North Central College had one individual make the list.
