LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Adding to an already impressive season that saw a sweep of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin regular season and tournament titles and an appearance in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team saw seniors Gage Black (Peoria, Ill.-Dunlap) and Michael Campagna (Arlington Heights, Ill.-Saint Viator) earn United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Blatant Division III All-American Honorable Mention. The organization announced its All-American teams Thursday morning, May 23.

Black and Campagna's selection marks the fourth straight year that a Titan has picked up All-American status joining the likes of Max Bousky (2021), Rick Smith (2021, 2022) and Carson Kiichle (2023) all of who were named to the honorable mention team. Black becomes only the second Titan in program history to garner the honors in back-to-back seasons having been named a candidate in 2023, while Campagna earns the distinction for the first time in his career.

Black, who was named the team's offensive MVP a week ago, led the team with 71 points on the season and 51 goals while posting the third-most assists for IWU as a midfielder. The senior captain kicked off the season as an Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-American and followed that up with the third All-CCIW honor of his career as he was named to the conference's first team for the second straight season. Black finished the season ranking second in Division III with 14 man-up goals.

Campagna had a phenomenal senior campaign, leading IWU with 33 caused turnovers and posting the third-most ground balls with 51 scoops. The senior defender and captain earned his third All-CCIW honor of his career, making his debut as a First Team selection. Campagna was also named the conference's Defensive Player of the Year after anchoring an IWU defense that held its conference opponents to only 30 goals during the regular season. Campagna was one of five Titans to earn CCIW Player of the Week honors, April 9.

Black and Campagna were two of five CCIW student-athletes to earn the distinction as Elmhurst Univeristy's Eli Spence and Tony Vasquez and North Central College's Dylan Mlinarich made the list.
