NAPERVILLE, Ill. - A monstrous three-game stretch at the plate landed Illinois Wesleyan University softball senior Bailey Turner (Normal, Ill.-Normal West) College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Hitter of the Week status the league office announced Monday, April 8. It is the third weekly honor of Turner's career and marks the second time she has garnered the hitter of the week accolade.

Turner was clutch both offensively and defensively as Illinois Wesleyan hosted No. 15 UW-Whitewater and DePauw for a two-day tournament, April 6-7. IWU posted a 2-1 record, including sweeping DePauw. Turner went .500 at the plate with four hits, four runs, and six RBIs. The Normal, Ill. native belted two home runs, including a walk-off three-run shot against DePauw, April 7. She finished the weekend with a 1.375 slugging percentage and a .600 on-base clip.

IWU heads into league play Wednesday, April 10, with a twin bill against Millikin University. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Inspiration Field.
