Eastburn was good for four goals in the first 15 minutes of play while Black notched a hat trick and sophomore Karsten Nordlie (Roscoe, Ill.-Hononegah Community) scored two. Junior Sam Weinberg (Highwood, Ill.-Oak Park River Forest) and senior Trystan Seeley (Castle Rock, Colo.-Castle View) were good for a goal apiece in the opening quarter.

With new faces in for the Titans, Ortega scored an unassisted goal to start a three-goal run for the Titans. Freshman Nate Pound (Theinsville, Wis.-Homestead) notched the first goal of his collegiate career off an Ortega assist before freshman Jake Kahoun (Worthington, Ohio-Thomas Worthington) added another goal to the board to end the half with a 14-1 advantage.

Augustana found its way to the net in the third quarter to cut the Titan lead to 12 but just 20 seconds later freshman AJ Rodriguez (Chula Vista, Calif.-Grossmont) secured his first collegiate goal thanks to a dish from Ortega to spark a four-goal run.
