ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - Playing its second match in as many days, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis team fell to Augustana College, 9-0, Saturday, April 13. The loss drops the Titans to 9-6 overall, 2-2 in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin action, while Augie upped its record to 14-6 and 3-2 in league play.

Sophomore Ian Turnbull (Bloomington, Ill.-Bloomington) put up a fight at No. 1 singles. Turnbull took the first set, 6-3, but fell in the second, 6-4. In the super tiebreaker, Turnbull was not able to come away with the win, falling 10-3.

Also battling in singles action, freshman Thad Dillow (Effingham, Ill.-Effingham) went a full three sets at No. 4 singles. Opening the match with a 6-3 first set victory, but dropped the next two, 6-2 and 10-5.

Illinois Wesleyan will enjoy a week off before traveling to Wisconsin to face Carroll University Friday, April 19, and Carthage College Saturday, April 20.
