Onsrud Earns CCIW Golfer of the Week Status

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - For the sixth time in her career and the first time this season, Illinois Wesleyan University senior women's golfer Lexi Onsrud (Normal, Ill.-University High) was selected as the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin the league office announced Wednesday, April 10. It is the third weekly honor by a Titan this season and marks the second straight week IWU has garnered the award as Emma Thorman was recognized last week.

Onsrud led the Green and White to the team title at the WashU Spring Invite in Eureka, Mo. over the weekend, April 6-7. She carded rounds of 71 and 77 on the par-72, 5745-yard Crescent Farms Golf Club to place third overall. Onsrud guided IWU to its second tournament title of the season, while she grabbed her third top-five finish this season and the 31st of her career.

Illinois Wesleyan returns to action as host to the Kathy Niepagen Spring Fling this weekend, April 13-14, at Ironwood Golf Course. The event will begin with a 9 a.m shotgun start Saturday, April 13.
