BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Gearing up for its spring break trip, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis team will head to Orlando, Fla., for four matches over four days Monday-Thursday, March 11-14.

The Titans (5-2) open the trip against Colby-Sawyer College Monday, March 11, before facing Hampden-Sydney College and St. Norbert College Tuesday, March 12. IWU will conclude the trip Thursday, March 14, facing Ohio Wesleyan University.

The Green and White will face Colby-Sawyer (2-4) for the fourth time in program history, with the Titans owning a 2-1 advantage. IWU escaped the most recent meeting, 5-4, March 14, 2023. Then-junior Ryan McCoy (Arlington Heights, Ill.-Orland Park) and then-freshman Ben Vigneri (Casper, Wyo.-Phillips Exeter Academy) notched the win at No. 2 doubles with a score of 8-4, while then-freshman Ian Turnbull (Bloomington, Ill.-Bloomington) and then-sophomore Zeke Cross (Springfield, Ill.-Springfield) picked up wins at No. 1 and No. 6, respectively.

Illinois Wesleyan will open Tuesday by meeting Hampden-Sydney (2-3) for the first time, and will close the day facing St. Norbert (4-5) for the second time, with the initial meeting coming on Feb. 8, 2003. The Titans took the inaugural contest between the two squads, 7-0.

IWU and OWU (2-2) will square off for the fourth time. The two schools met last year in Florida, with the Green and White winning 5-4 March 16, 2023. Vigneri picked up the win at No. 4 singles, and the Titans swept doubles play in the win.
