Men’s Lacrosse to Open 2024 Season in Michigan

Titans face Hope College Saturday, 3 p.m. ET

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team kicks off the 2024 campaign with a road trip to Holland, Mich. for an afternoon bout with Hope College, Saturday, Feb. 17 at Van Andel Soccer Stadium. 

The Titans are led by head coach Zach Iannucci who enters his 11th season at the helm. Since its inaugural season in 2014, the Green and White boast a 125-41 record, good for a .753 winning percentage. IWU is coming off a 2023 season that saw the program reach the second round of the NCAA Tournament, win its fifth-straight College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Regular Season Champion title while posting a 15-4 (6-0 CCIW) season record. 

Illinois Wesleyan returns four of its seven All-CCIW honorees from 2023 including seniors Michael Campagna (Arlington Heights, Ill. Saint Viator), Gage Black (Peoria, Ill.-Dunlap), Bob Boone (Los Angeles, Calif. Notre Dame) and junior Nick Schroeder (Waunakee, Wis. Waunakee)

The Titans top-three scorers from a year ago, seniors Ike Eastburn (Colorado Springs, Colo. Cheyenne Mountain), Trystan Seeley (Castle Rock, Colo. Castle View), and Black will don the Green and White for another season while adding 12 newcomers to the squad.

IWU has gone head-to-head with Hope on seven occasions with the Titans owning a 6-1 series record. The most recent matchup saw a 20-14 Green and White victory Mar. 22, 2023, led by then-juniors Seeley and Black scoring five and four goals, respectively. Then-sophomore Schroeder and then-juniors Eastburn and Boone also got in on the scoring action against Hope. 

Saturday's contest is set for a 3 p.m. ET start inside the Van Andel Soccer Stadium in Holland, Mich. The match will be available via live stream and live stats, both can be found here
