BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University men's wrestling team is set to return to the mats Tuesday, Dec. 3 for a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin dual with sixth-ranked North Central College. The meet is slated for a 6 p.m. start inside Merner Fieldhouse in Naperville, Ill.

IWU last competed at the 8-Man Battles in Eau Claire, Wis. Nov. 23, where the Titans saw freshman Jackson Castaneda (Oak Forest, Ill.-Oak Forest) win the 165-pound flights bracket and sophomore Austin Johnston (Normal, Ill.-Normal West) finish as runner-up in the 141-pound Gold Division.

IWU had its first-ever dual competition back on Nov. 15 when the Titans hosted Millikin University for the first Illinois Wesleyan wrestling meet in the Shirk Center. The Big Blue won the meet and tops the CCIW standings with a 3-0 dual record. North Central is second with a 2-0 record. The Green and White sits ninth with just one dual under its belt, just ahead of Wheaton who is currently 0-3 in CCIW duals, while three conference schools have yet to compete in league action.

North Central's two wins in CCIW duals came by way of a 44-3 victory over Carthage College and a  42-6 win against Augustana College. The Cardinals are ranked sixth nationally in duals according to The Open Mat's most recent rankings list released last Wednesday, Nov. 27.

The meet is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start inside Merner Fieldhouse. A live stream of the meet will be available and can be found on the men's wrestling schedule page of iwusports.com. Final results will also be posted on the schedule page upon the conclusion of the meet.
