METAMORA, Ill. - Continuing its dominance, the 10th-ranked Illinois Wesleyan University women's golf team broke its own record en route to the program's 19th College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Championship. The Titans carded a final round score of 311 to finish with a 54-hole total of 899, besting the second-place team by a conference record 65 strokes at Metamora Fields Golf Club Saturday, Oct. 5.

Senior Macy Ludwig (Egginham, Ill.-St. Anthony) led from start to finish as she garnered the fourth win of her career with a 54-hole total of 216. Ludwig carded a final-round two-over par to tie her personal 54-hole low and her own school record, while her score is the lowest in a conference championship in CCIW history.

Freshman Gigi Zera (Glenview, Ill.-Loyola Academy) placed third in her league championship debut with a total of 229 (75-74-80), while senior Jadyn Spinks (Bloomington, Ill.-University High) took fourth at 231 (76-69-86).

Sophomore Nora Cerroni (Waukesha, Wis.-Waukesha North) grabbed a sixth-place finish (237). Seniors Kylie Hundman (Bloomington, Ill.-Central Catholic) and Jacque O'Neill (Harbor Springs, Mich.-Harbor Springs) placed tied for seventh and ninth, respectively.

The Green and White's 67-stroke margin shattered the record of 56 set by the Titans at last season's conference championship. All six Titans placed in the top-10, earning All-CCIW honors as IWU won its third straight conference title. Illinois Wesleyan was the only school in the conference to have multiple All-CCIW honorees.

Ludwig became the latest Titan to receive the CCIW Elite 26 Award, presented to the All-CCIW performer with the highest GPA, as she shared it with Elmhurst's Regan Bobich. Since the award's inception in 2021, a Titan has earned the distinction each year as Lexi Onsrud was the recipient in each of the past three seasons. Freshman Grace Fagan was tabbed IWU's CCIW RESPECT awardee.

With the conference's automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship secured, Illinois Wesleyan now turns its focus to the Golfweek October Classic set for Sunday-Tuesday, Oct. 13-15, in Miramar Beach, Fla.
