Men’s Soccer Upended on Senior Day

Carroll takes the win, 3-nil

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - After senior day festivities, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's soccer were upended by College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin foe, Carroll University, Saturday Oct. 26. The Titans drop their record to 9-3-3, and fall 3-3-1 in conference. CU climbs to 9-4-4 overall and is now 5-2-1 in league play.

Before the game, the Green and White recognized its seven seniors and showed appreciation for their hard work and dedication to the program.

The Pioneers seemed to have the ball for a majority of the first half but the stats were even. Carroll had three shots to Illinois Wesleyan's two, with each team seeing one shot on goal.

Senior Will McNulty (Glen Ellyn, Ill.-Glenbard West) stepped up in a dier situation to keep the game scoreless into halftime. With CU taking a corner kick McNulty denied a shot attempt at the goal line.

Ultimately, CU scored in the 69th, 79th, and 95th minutes of the game and played a dominant second half.

Junior Sam Kedzior (Cary, Ill.-Cary Grove) played 90 minutes between the pipes and tallied three saves.

The Titans are on the road for one more regular season matchup against the Big Blue at Millikin University. The game is set to start at 7 p.m. at Frank M. Lindsay Field.
