BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team is set to host a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin contest with Carroll University Saturday, Oct. 26 on Neis Field for the Titans' Senior Day. The IWU women's team will honor its seniors ahead of a 1 p.m. kickoff with the Titan men doing the same at 3:30 p.m.

Illinois Wesleyan carries a 3-10-2, 1-4-1 CCIW record into the weekend after suffering a 6-0 loss to North Central College Wednesday, Oct. 24. Freshman keeper Grace Kiewiet (Leawood, Kan.-Notre Dame de Sion) spent 59 minutes in goal and recorded seven saves.

Kiewiet, who has been the Titans' primary keeper this season, has recorded 72 saves on the year through 12 games played. Her 6.00 saves per game average ranks second in the conference and her .766 save percentage sits fourth.

Freshman Liza Wiley (Bloomington, Ind.-Home School) is the Green and White's lead scorer this season totaling 19 points on nine goals and one assist. Wiley ranks sixth in the CCIW for both goals per game (.692) and points per game (1.46). She also ranks in the top 100 in Division III for both categories.

With just two games left in the regular season, IWU has a tough battle ahead as Carroll is the only remaining undefeated team in the CCIW and has already locked in the top seed for the CCIW Tournament in November. Carroll brings an 8-4-2, 6-0 CCIW record into Saturday's contest.

The series history between Illinois Wesleyan and Carroll dates back to the 2009 season as the Green and White holds a 7-3-2 advantage in the series record. IWU met the Pioneers on the pitch twice last season with CU taking the regular season meeting 1-0, Oct. 7, 2023 before upping the ante in the conference tournament, defeating the Titans 3-0, Oct. 28, 2023.

Illinois Wesleyan will honor Titan seniors Kayla Borg (McHenry, Ill.-Cary Grove), Laci Jerkatis (New Lenox, Ill.-Lincoln-Way Central), Carla Martinez (Normal, Ill.-Normal West), and Tegan Timerman (Peoria, Ill.-Peoria Notre Dame).

Kickoff at Neis Field is slated for 1 p.m. with Senior Day festivities to begin 10 minutes prior to game time. The IWU men's game will follow the women's contest at 3:30 p.m. Both a live stream and live stats will be available for Saturday's contest and can be found here or on the women's soccer schedule page of iwusports.com.
