BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - After recovering from its first loss of the season, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's soccer team prepares for a midweek clash with College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin foe Augustana College, Wednesday, Oct. 16. The game is set for 7 p.m. at Neis Field, under the lights.

The Titans are going into Wednesday's game 8-1-2 on the season and 2-1 in league play, coming off a 1-1 week. The Titans were stymied by nationally ranked No. 16 North Park University Saturday, Oct. 12. NPU took a 2-nil win over the Titans, the first game this season where we have yet to see the Titans score.

Junior goalkeeper Sam Kedzior (Cary, Ill.-Cary Grove) tallied 12 saves on the week with a save percentage of .857. Kedzior sits second in the conference in shutouts (6) and saves (.840). Senior Devyn Kennedy (Earlville, Ill.-Earlville Jr./Sr.) ranks first in the CCIW in assists with five, while sophomore Ryder Coleman (Deerfield, Ill.-Bannockburn) is third for goals scored with seven.

The Vikings are 4-4-1 on the season and 1-3 in conference play. Augustana most recently dropped a 2-nil match to Wheaton Saturday, Oct. 12.

Wednesday's game will be partnered with Illinois Wesleyan's student-led Athlete Ally chapter to show support to the LQBTQ+ community and to help promote inclusion in sports to make a more cohesive, better community. To learn more about Athlete Ally, click here.
