BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – After drawing in its conference opener against Carthage College, the Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer program is looking for its first College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin win as the Titans head to Millikin University Wednesday, Sept. 26. Kickoff at Frank M. Lindsay Field is set for 7 p.m.

The Titans opened CCIW play at home Saturday, Sept. 23 with a 1-1 tie against Carthage. The Firebirds took the 1-0 lead just before halftime in the 42nd minute but the Titans held them scoreless through the rest of the contest. Tegan Timerman (Peoria, Ill.-Peoria Notre Dame) picked up her first goal of the season in the 54th minute to level the score. Both teams earned a point in CCIW standings to sit behind Augustana, North Central, and Carroll who won their matches earning three points each.

The Green and White are slated for a match with Millikin University's Big Blue on Wednesday. IWU enters the match 1-7-1 while Millikin has an overall record of 4-4 after a 2-1 loss to Carroll in its CCIW opener. Millikin's Melis Barutcu scored the Big Blue's only goal against the Pioneers. The Big Blue has 11 goal-scorers this season to threaten the Titan's defense.

Leading that defense lately has been goalkeeper Audrey Hofstetter (Gilbert, Ariz.-Perry). Hofstetter had four saves in the Carroll game while denying nine shots in the 3-0 loss to No. 4 WashU Wednesday, Sept. 20.

Illinois Wesleyan and Millikin have met in 28 contests since 1996 with the Titans leading the series record 27-1 over 27 years. In their last meeting on Sept. 28, 2022, the Green and White shut out the Big Blue 6-0. Amanda Yaeger (New Lenox, Ill.-Lincoln-Way West) scored the Titans' final goal of the match in the final minute of play.

Wednesday's contest will kick off at 7 p.m. at Frank M. Lindsay Field in Decatur, Ill. The match will be available via live stream here, and live stats can be viewed here
