BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's soccer team will battle the Foresters of Lake Forest College Saturday, Sept. 16. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. at Neis Field.
The Titans (2-1) enter the contest off a 1-nil loss against Greenville University this past Tuesday, Sept. 12. Sophomore Sam Kedzior (Cary, Ill.-Cary Grove) finished the match with a career-high 10 saves. The only goal of the game came by way of a Panthers penalty kick in the second half of play. Lake Forest (1-5) most recently fell to Carthage College, 6-2, Tuesday, Sept. 12.
The Titans and Foresters have only met once before on Sept. 7, 2019, with LFC walking away victorious, 2-nil.
Kedzior was recognized as the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Defensive Player of the Week Sept. 12, for the second straight week and third time in his career, after collecting his third career shutout against Aurora University Wednesday, Sept. 6. He stands as number one in the CCIW in categories of saves (.947), goals against average (.333), and shutouts per game (.667), and saves per game (6.00).
