Men’s Tennis Set for CCIW Clash Against Millikin

Titans eye first win over Big Blue since 2015

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - After nine days off, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis team will host Millikin University Monday, April 10, for a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin dual. Action will begin at 4 p.m. at the Beadles-Morse Courts.

The Titans (8-7, 0-3 CCIW) enter off an 8-1 loss to Wheaton College Saturday, April 1. Freshman Ian Turnbull (Bloomington, Ill.-Bloomington) was the lone Titan to secure a win, as he was victorious at No. 1 singles with set scores of 6-3, 6-3.

Millikin most recently fell, 6-3, to North Central College Friday, April 7, to fall to 10-4 overall, 1-1 in CCIW action. The Big Blue hold a 6-2 advantage in the all-time series, taking the most recent meeting April 15, 2022, 5-4. Then-freshman Zeke Cross (Springfield, Ill.-Springfield) won his No. 6 singles match and picked up a win at No. 3 doubles with partner Shanku Nair.
