Titans look to rebound against Carroll Sunday, April 16

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis team fell to Carthage College, 9-0, Saturday, April 15. With the loss, the Titans stumble to 9-9 overall, 1-5 in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin action.

Freshman Ian Turnbull (Bloomington, Ill.-Bloomington) pushed the No. 1 singles match the full length. After dropping the first set, 6-3, Turnbull took the second set, 7-6, using a tiebreaker win to force a decisive set, before falling 10-4.

The Titans have a quick turnaround, as they host Carroll University Sunday, April 16, at 10 a.m. on the Beadles-Morse Courts. The match will serve as senior day for IWU, as it will honor the lone senior, Carter Burk (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal U High).
