BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Nearing the end of the 2022-23 season, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis team will host Carthage College and Carroll University, Saturday-Sunday, April 15-16. The two College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin duals will conclude the regular season for the Titans, who own a record of 9-8 (1-4 CCIW).

IWU enters the weekend festivities off a sweep over Elmhurst University Thursday, April 13. The match saw seven different Titans secure at least one victory.

The Green and White will face off against Carthage (11-5, 2-1 CCIW) Saturday, April 15, at 10 a.m. The Firebirds most recently defeated Elmhurst, 9-0, Tuesday, April 11, and will face Millikin University Friday, April 14, before taking on the Titans. Saturday's contest will mark the 16th meeting in program history, with Carthage having won all previous matchups. The most recent battle took place April 8, 2022, with the Titans falling, 9-0.

The match against Carroll (9-6, 0-3 CCIW), Sunday, April 16, will serve as senior day for Illinois Wesleyan, as the program will celebrate its lone senior, Carter Burk (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal U High). Most recently, Carroll fell to Carthage, 9-0, Thursday, April 6. The Pioneers will battle Millikin Saturday, April 15, prior to taking on IWU. CU holds a slim, 4-3, advantage over the Titans in the all-time battle, but the Titans have won the last three duals. The last time the two teams faced off, the Green and White swept Carroll on the road, April 8, 2022. Burk, and then-sophomores Ryan McCoy (Arlington Heights, Ill.-Rolling Meadows) and Jordan Sibley-Diggs (Oak Park, Ill.-Oak Park River Forest) all picked up wins in the match.

Results for both matches will be posted on iwusports.com upon the completion of the match.
