Men’s Tennis Travels to Elmhurst for Thursday Afternoon CCIW Match

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - In the midst of four College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin matches in a week span, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis team will travel to Elmhurst University for a Thursday afternoon match, April 13. The match, which is a makeup from the initial April 2 date, is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. start at the Brune Tennis Courts.

The Titans (8-8, 0-4 CCIW) enter the match off an 8-1 loss to Millikin University Monday, April 10. Sophomore Zeke Cross (Springfield, Ill.-Springfield) picked up the lone win for the Green and White, winning his No. 6 singles match with set scores 6-4, 6-2.

Elmhurst most recently fell to Carthage College, 9-0, Tuesday, April 11, to fall to 3-4 overall, and 0-2 in CCIW play. The Titans hold a slim, 10-9, advantage in the all-time series against the Bluejays. The two teams last met on the courts April 24, 2022, with IWU defending its home court, winning 7-2, to highlight senior night.
