BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - With the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin duals season underway, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis team will travel to the suburbs of Chicago for two duals Saturday-Sunday, April 1-2. The Titans (8-6, 0-2 CCIW) will face Wheaton College at 9:30 a.m. April 1, then travel just under 10 miles east to Elmhurst University for a 10 a.m. battle April 2.
Illinois Wesleyan enters the contest off a loss to North Central College Sunday, March 26. Wheaton (8-6, 1-1 CCIW) most recently fell at North Central College Saturday, March 25, while Elmhurst (3-1) picked up a win over the College of DuPage Thursday, March 30.
The match against Wheaton will be the 22nd meeting of all-time, as the series dates back to 2009. The Thunder hold a commanding 20-1 advantage, and won the most recent matchup May 5, 2022, as Wheaton took down the Titans 5-0 in the CCIW Tournament.
Sunday's contest will be the 20th all-time matchup, also dating back to 2009, with the Titans holding a slim 10-9 advantage over the Bluejays. IWU took the most recent meeting, 7-2, April 24, 2022.
