Men’s Tennis Swept by North Central

Titans fall to 8-6 on the season

Naperville, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis team was swept by North Central College Sunday, March 26 in a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin matchup. The loss drops the Titans to 8-6 overall, 0-2 in CCIW matches, while the Cardinals move to 11-5 overall and 2-0 in the CCIW. 

The Cardinals kept IWU at bay for the entirety of the match, as the Titans could not muster a set win. The closest a match came was 6-4, as both senior Carter Burk (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal U High) and freshman Ben Vigneri (Casper, Wyo.-Phillips Exeter Academy) each recorded a 6-4 set loss in the singles portion of the match. 

Illinois Wesleyan will return to action at Wheaton College Saturday, March 1. Time is yet to be announced.
