PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. - Sophomore Hadley Fudge (Stanford, Ill.-University) and senior Lauren Feddersen (Champaign, Ill.-Centennial) added to their successful College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Championship showings Saturday, Feb. 18, and the men's team set a school record as the three-day meet came to a close at the RecPlex in Pleasant Prairie, Wis. The Illinois Wesleyan University women's swimming & diving team placed third, while the men finished in fourth.

Fudge continued her strong performance, as she captured the 200 yard backstroke, touching at 2:06.32. Junior Natalie Wajda (Park Ridge, Ill.-Maine South) came in third in the event (2:06.85), and freshman Kayleigh Kuschewski (Batavia, Ill.-Batavia) clocked in at 2:09.58 to finish fifth as IWU flexed its depth in the event.

Feddersen secured her third individual win of the meet in the 200 yard breaststroke, besting the field for the third straight year. The Champaign, Ill. native touched in at a season-best 2:23.80, shaving more than a second from her prelim time, to win the event by three seconds. With the win, Feddersen completed a sweep of the breaststroke events after winning the 100 earlier this week.

The women's 400 yard freestyle relay team of Fudge, junior Bella Calcagno (Lemont, Ill.-Lemont Township), Feddersen, and Wajda reeled in a second-place finish time of 3:32.80, the fastest time this season for the Titans.

Sophomore Jade Kaminska (Jablonna, Mazovia, Poland-Maria Konopnicka) and Calcagno added to IWU's scoring in the 200 yard butterfly, as the duo finished fourth and fifth, respectively. Kaminska tapped in at 2:17.54, while Calcagno recorded a time of 2:18.24.

On the men's side, junior Lane Wagner (Danville, Ill.-Danville) notched a fourth place finish in the 200 yard backstroke, finishing with a time of 1:55.47. The junior then secured a third-place finish in the men's 200 yard butterfly with a time of 1:55.47.

Junior Ethan Lowder (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal Community) came in third place in the men's 100 yard freestyle, touching with a then-personal best time of 46.31. Junior Henry Moore (Champaign, Ill.-Centennial) finished in third place in the 1650 yard freestyle with a season-best time of 16:53.96.

The men's team closed out the conference meet with a third-place finish in the 400 yard freestyle relay. Lowder, sophomore Alex Kula (Pekin, Ill.-Pekin Community), freshman Sam Fogarty, and junior Jake Kalenowski put together a 3:06.42 time to finish the season by breaking the school record. The first leg of the relay saw Lowder touch in at 47.97, setting a new school record, and a personal-best time for the junior.

Lowder, a physics major, earned the CCIW Elite 26 award, an honor given to the all-conference swimmer with the highest GPA. Seniors Shannon Pinto (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal Community) and Shannon Murphy (Medinah, Ill.-Lake Park) earned the CCIW's Respect award for the Titans.

With the conclusion of the meet, the Titans also saw the careers of seniors Emma Stroh (Normal, Ill.-University High), Anna Keebler (Verona, Wis.-Middleton), Murphy, and Pinto come to a close. Together, the group combined for several career-bests throughout the three-day meet, finishing off their collegiate careers on a high note.

In all, the Titans produced 14 All-CCIW performances. Earning all-conference honors, a distinction reserved for the top-three finishers in individual events and the first-place relay,  for the Green and White were: senior Lauren Feddersen, juniors Ethan Lowder, Lane Wagner, Jackie Rae Kelch, Natalie Wajda, Henry Moore, sophomores Alexa Starkey and Hadley Fudge, and freshman Kayleigh Kuschewski.
