BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's soccer team heads into its fourth College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin game on the road Saturday, Oct. 7 against Carroll University. Kick off is set for 3:30 p.m. for its afternoon matchup.
The Titans enter the game 3-4-2 and 1-1-1 in conference action with their most recent match up against Augustana, securing a 3-nil victory over the Vikings. Senior Sasha Tylnyy (Wheeling, Ill.-Buffalo Grove) scored 2 of the 3 goals and Junior Eli Warren (Mahomet, Ill.-Mahomet Seymour) scored the last goal of the game. Sophomore goalkeeper Sam Kedzior (Cary, Ill.-Cary Grove) played 90 minutes in between the pipes and earned his third shutout of the season and totaled three saves. The Pios are going into the match 5-6 overall and 1-2 in conference on the season with their most recent campaign against Elmhurst University where they were bested 3-2.
The Titans and Pios have met a total of eight times dating back to 2009. The two teams most recently met on Oct. 8, 2022, where the Green and White were bested by the Pios 2-1.
