NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University women's cross country team earned College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Student-Athlete of the Week honors for the first time this season as sophomore
Adriana Crabtree (Normal, Ill.-University High) picks up the honor for the first time in her young career. The league office announced its selection Tuesday, Oct. 17.
Crabtree burned an entire minute off of her personal best time this season, completing the six-kilometer course at Augustana College's Interregional Invitational in 21:56.8, good for 12th place in the 394-person field. The sophomore currently owns the fastest time in the CCIW.
The Normal, Ill. native is the first Titan to receive the award since Rebekah Harden was honored twice in 2021.
Crabtree and Illinois Wesleyan continue their preparations for next week's CCIW Championship race Saturday, Oct. 28 at St. James Farm in Warrenville, Ill. North Central College will serve as the host institute of the conference meet.
