BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - After a 2-0 week, the Illinois Wesleyan men's soccer team is looking to keep its winning streak alive this Wednesday, Oct. 18, when they take on the Bluejays of Elmhurst University. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. under the lights at Langhorst Field.

The Titans came out on top in two close matchups, taking down Millikin University and North Park University as both games ended with the Titans scoring the game-winning goal with three minutes left. Freshman Faheem Mujahid (Saint Robert, Mo.-Waynesville) had the game-winning goal against the then-undefeated in conference play, North Park University this past Saturday to boost the Titans to fourth in the conference. Prior to the game-winner, the Saint Robert, Ill. native set a fire under the Titans scoring IWU's second goal just 21 seconds after the Green and White scored their first goal of the game off a penalty kick, courtesy of senior Brody Seaton (Dunlap, Ill.-Peoria Notre Dame). The Green and White are 5-4-3 on the season and 3-1-2 in conference. While the Elmhurst Bluejays are 5-8-2 on the season and 3-3-0 in conference.

The Titans and Bluejays have a short-lived history, only playing each other 20 times dating back to 2004. The Titans have a winning record over the Bluejays (10-7-3). The most recent meeting between the teams was on Oct. 19, 2022, when the Titans shut out the Bluejays with a 1-nil victory.

The Titans leading scorers are Mujahid with six goals on the season while senior Sasha Tylnyy (Wheeling, Ill.-Buffalo Grove) and Eli Warren (Mahomet, Ill.-Mahomet Seymour) are tied for second with two goals on the season. Sam Kedzior (Cary, Ill.-Cary Grove) holds his spot as the leading goalkeeper in the conference in three out of four categories. He leads in shutouts per game (.333), goals against average (.735), and saves (.871).
