BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's soccer team is set to travel to Decatur, Ill. to face the Big Blue of Millikin University Wednesday, Oct. 11. Kick off is set for 7 p.m. under the lights of Frank M. Lindsay Field.

IWU enters the match coming off a nil-nil tie against the Pios of Carroll University. The Titans are 3-4-3 on the season. The Big Blue are coming off a 6-0 win against Augustana College and are currently 5-5-1 overall on the season. The Titans and the Big Blue have met some of the same teams this season in and out of conference. Both teams played non-conference games against Aurora University and WashU where the Green and White recorded two wins and the Big Blue suffered two losses. They have also had similar competition in Carroll University, and Augustana College in conference teams they have faced. Both the Titans and the Big Blue defeated Augustana in shutouts but Millikin recorded a loss to Carroll where the Titans picked up a tie.

The Titans and the Big Blue have a lengthy history where they have met 43 times dating back to 1986. The two teams have a fairly even matchup history of 20-21-2 with the Titans looking to even that record in tomorrow's contest. Their last meetup was Oct. 12, 2022 where the Titans took a 2-1 win. Brody Seaton (Dunlap, Ill.-Peoria Notre Dame) scored the opening goal of the game in the first 10 minutes to get the Titans an early lead. Declan Nugent (Naperville, Ill.-Nequa Valley) scored the second goal at the 30 minute mark to secure the win.

Sophomore Sam Kedzior (Cary, Ill.-Cary Grove) earned his third CCIW Defensive Player of the Week this season Oct. 10. The Cary, Ill. native totaled nine saves on the week. Kedzior leads in three out of the four categories for goalies in the CCIW. He is first in saves percentage (.907), saves per game (4.9), and shutouts (4). Kedzior helped lead the Titans to a victory on Wednesday against Augustana, making four saves to keep the Vikings scoreless. Against Carroll Saturday, Oct. 7, Kedzior helped the defense earn a 0-0 draw, notching five saves between the iron.
