BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's volleyball team heads back out on the road Tuesday, Sept. 6, to take on 25th-ranked University of Chicago at 7 p.m. in the Windy City. It will mark the first match against a ranked opponent this season for the Titans (2-1).

Tuesday will be the 18th time that the two teams have faced each other, with Illinois Wesleyan holding a slim 9-8 advantage all-time. Last year, the Titans fell in four sets to the then-ranked No. 16 Maroons.

The Green and White are coming off its first weekend of play, having gone 2-1 at the Charlie Wrublewski Invitational in Cincinnati, Ohio. Illinois Wesleyan's only loss came from the home team, Mount St. Joseph, in a five-set battle. Two Titans were named to the all-tournament team as freshman Taylor French (Romeoville, Ill.-Plainfield East) and junior Ellie Eager (Mendota, Ill.-Marquette Academy) garnered honors. French had a promising debut with 30 kills in 11 sets, 30 digs, and 11 aces. Eager added 16 kills on 45 attacks to give her a hitting average of .244 for the weekend and was credited with four blocks. Junior Faith Washko (Springfield, Ill.-Sacred Heart-Griffin) was a big factor on defense over the weekend, with 47 digs, good for an average of 4.7 digs per set.

The match is set for a 7 p.m. first serve inside UC's Ratner Athletics Center Gymnasia. A live stream of the match can be found here, while live stats will also be available here.
