BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team sets its focus to tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 20 for a non-conference matchup against Albion College after a lengthy layoff. The Titans travel to Albion, Mich. for a 3 p.m. ET kickoff. The Titans will enter the match with a 2-1-1 record, as the Britons remain undefeated at 3-0-2.

IWU last played as hosts of the Midwest Tournament Sept. 10-11, where the Green and White split its two games over the weekend. IWU dropped a 3-0 bout to now seventh-ranked Wartburg, who was the only team to win both games at the tournament. On the second day of the invite, the Titans defeated then No. 13 UW-La Crosse, who moved to No. 20 on the United Soccer Coaches poll following IWU's victory.

Illinois Wesleyan is receiving votes as of Sept. 13 in the latest USC poll with five. IWU and North Central College are the only College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin teams to be recognized by the United Soccer Coaches. The Titans are receiving votes while North Central College was slotted at No. 18.

In the rankings, fifth-year senior Caelyn Steffens (Normal, Ill.-Normal Community) is among the top in division III active career leaders. Steffens ranks fourth in goals (53) and points (127).

Sophomore Liza Matimore (Gurnee, Ill.-Warren Township) has also made a mark in the rankings. In the CCIW, Matimore checks in at No. 2 in points per game with 1.75. The Gurnee, Ill. native also leads the 2022 squad in points with seven, is tied for most goals (2), and leads with three assists.

The Titans have only faced the Britons three times dating back to 2004. There has been a long hiatus between meetings as IWU last faced AC in 2010. It will be the fourth time in program history IWU faces Albion, with the Titans holding a 3-0 advantage in the all-time series. The Green and White will also play in Albion, Mich. for the first time since two out of the three games were played in Bloomington, and one in Kalamazoo for a neutral site slate.

The game will be available via live stats and live stream. The live stats can be accessed here, the live stream can be found here.
