Beaubien Receives CCIW Golfer of the Week Nod

Led Titans to first-place finish at IWU Invitational

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Junior Bobby Beaubien (Barrington, Ill.-Barrington) became the latest member of the Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team to be named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's Golfer of the Week Tuesday, April 5. Beaubien, the third Titan to receive the honor this season, earned the accolade for the first time in his career.

The junior led a Titan team that won the IWU Invitational by a 22-stroke margin, April 2. He finished runner-up, coming in two strokes behind the reigning NCAA Division III Individual National Champion, with a score of 142. He began the weekend with an opening round three-under 69, before finishing out the weekend with a one-over 73.

Illinois Wesleyan heads to the D3 Showcase in French Lick, Ind. Monday-Tuesday, April 11-12, at Donald Ross Course.
