Men’s Tennis Back on the Road for CCIW Play

Titans face Millikin April, 15 and Augustana April, 16

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis team continues College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin play in Decatur for a duel against Millikin University Friday, April 15 before traveling to Rock Island for a match with Augustana College Saturday, April 16. The Titans are scheduled to play the Big Blue at 12:30 p.m. and Augie at 10 a.m on their respective days. 

At the halfway point, all three teams currently hold a 1-2 record in the conference. Both Carthage and North Central lead the CCIW with a 4-0 standing while Wheaton has only one league game under its belt (1-0). 

Most recently IWU last touched the court for a two matches in Wisconsin, April 8. The Titans faced Carthage where IWU suffered a 9-0 defeat, but bounced back in game two against Carroll University, as the Green and White went on to win the match, 9-0.

Against Millikin, the Titans trail in the all-time series, 5-2. IWU won the first two games in the all-time meetings, but have not been able to beat the Big Blue since the 2014-15 season. IWU's all-time record with the Vikings dates back to 2008. The Titans, who come up short in the all-time record, 2-12, most recently faced Augie last season. The Vikings left Bloomington with an 8-1 victory over the Titans, April 3.
