Men’s Tennis Takes on Cedarville in Indianapolis

Titans will face the Yellow Jackets for the fourth time in program history

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -  The Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis team takes a trip to Indianapolis for a neutral site match against Division II Cedarville University Saturday, Feb. 26. First serve is scheduled for 12 p.m.

IWU last competed during a trip to Clinton, Iowa Feb. 12 where they split its matches, 1-1. The Titans beat St. Ambrose University 5-2, but were defeated by Wartburg University, 7-2. Senior Demetrios Triantafel (Indian Head Park, Ill.-LaGrange Lyons) and junior Carter Burk (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal U High) notched a win at No. 1 doubles, while sophomore Ryan McCoy (Arlington Heights, Ill.-Rolling Meadows) and senior Shanku Nair (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal Community) teamed up for a win at No. 2 doubles against St. Ambrose. 

Most recently, the Yellow Jackets competed against St. Thomas More Feb. 19, where they were defeated 5-2. IWU is looking for its first-ever win against Cedarville on Saturday as the Yellow Jackets lead the all-time series 3-0. The last time the two teams met was in the 2021 season where the Titans were defeated 7-0, Mar. 6.
