BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The sixth-seeded Illinois Wesleyan University women's volleyball team will travel to Decatur to take on third-seeded Millikin University in the quarterfinals of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament Tuesday, Nov. 1. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. inside the Griswold Center.

The two foes faced off on Friday, Oct. 28 in the last conference regular season match of the year. After nearly three hours, Illinois Wesleyan protected its home court with a five-set victory to keep the Big Blue from getting a share of the regular season conference championship. The loss also meant that Millikin would drop to the third seed in the tournament, missing out on the first-round bye granted to the top-two teams.

In the match Friday night, the Titans recorded a season-high 125 digs as a team. Freshman Taylor French (Romeoville, Ill.-Plainfield East) finished with 42 digs, just two shy of the program record. Junior Faith Washko (Springfield, Ill.-Sacred Heart Griffin) recorded 26 digs, while sophomore Abby Erdman (Aurora, Ill.-Metea Valley) notched a career-best 21 digs. Junior Courtney Heffren (Eureka, Ill.-Eureka) also finished with double-digits, as she recorded 11.

Erdman added 34 assists to her breakout sophomore season, one shy of her career-best, to complete a double-double performance. Freshman Katie Gund (Pewaukee, Wis.-Pewaukee) helped Erdman orchestrate the Titan offense with 19 assists and two aces.

Senior Dana Kiszkowski (Schaumburg, Ill.-Schaumburg) led the Titans with five blocks. Senior Evy Makris (Orland Park, Ill.-Sandburg) and junior Taylor Babec (Joliet, Ill.-Plainfield Central) followed Kiszkowski with four and three rejections, respectively.

Carthage College is the number one seed, as it won the regular season championship outright with a record of 6-2 in conference. North Park University follows at the No. 2 seed, securing the second bye alongside the Firebirds. Millikin is third seed, followed by North Central College and Augustana College as the fourth and fifth seed, respectively. Augie will travel to NCC for the other quarterfinals match Tuesday night, Nov. 1. Illinois Wesleyan rounds out the tournament as the sixth-seed.
