BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's volleyball team is gearing up for a highly anticipated non-conference matchup against No. 16 University of Chicago this Wednesday, Sept. 8. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. inside the Shirk Center.

IWU (4-1) is looking to build off a strong showing at the Captains Classic this past weekend, Sept. 3-4, in Newport News, Va. In total, the team went 3-1, highlighted by a four-set victory against No. 24 Susquehanna. Other victories included Lynchburg and Christopher Newport, while the Green and White's lone setback came at the hands of Clarkson. 

Wednesday night will mark the 17th all-time match between the two squads, with IWU holding a slight 9-7 edge. Chicago, which enters the non-conference bout with a 2-1 record, swept IWU in the last meeting Sept. of 2019 by set scores of 25-20, 25-20, and 25-15.
