Women’s Soccer Blanked by Washington & Lee

Titans are back on the road next weekend for UW-La Crosse Tournament

LEXINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team lost 3-0 to Washington & Lee University Sunday, Sept. 5 on the final day of the Washington & Lee Invitational. The Titans head back to Bloomington, Ill. with an overall record of 1-2.

Illinois Wesleyan was kept at zero during the match as the Generals opened up the scoring 10 minutes into the game to take a 1-0 lead. The Titans saw missed opportunities in the remainder of the first half, while W&L packed on an additional goal with only three minutes to go in the first 45.

Time ticked down and W&L secured its third and final goal of the day to widen the gap 3-0, and put the game out of reach for IWU.
