Titans return to the field tomorrow to face UW-La Crosse

LA CROSSE, Wis. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team lost 2-0 to No. 24 Wartburg College Saturday, Sept. 11. The Titans dropped to 1-3 overall as the Knights climbed to 4-0.

The Titans found themselves down by one just under 17 minutes into the game, before the Knights secured an insurance goal around the 34 minute mark.

IWU kept a steady attack against the Knights, outshooting Wartburg 16-13, with both teams tailing a total of five shots on goal. Junior Lauren Shanks (Bloomignton, Ill.-Central Catholic) led the Green and White with three shots on goal and six overall. Despite IWU's attempts, they could not find the back of the Knights' net, resulting in a 2-0 loss.

The Titans are back tomorrow Sunday, Sept. 12 to take on the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse at 1 p.m.
