BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's volleyball team is looking to secure its second College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin victory of the season when it welcomes Wheaton College to the Shirk Center Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 7 p.m.
IWU's record stands at 6-6 after a four-set victory against Elmhurst University, Sept. 15 and a five-set defeat against Aurora University, Sept. 17. Wheaton is trying to get back to the .500 mark as its record sits at 6-7 and 1-0 in CCIW play.
These two teams have met a total of 40 times. The Green and White have a record of 30-10 in the previous 40 matchups. As a result, IWU is on a four-match winning streak against the Thunder that features a 12-4 home record. The last match played between the two was March 3, 2021 where Illinois Wesleyan swept the Thunder in straight sets (25-13, 25-23, 25-18).

Maddie Dryfhout (Orland Park, Ill. - Chicago Christain) round out the top five kill totals with 79, 66, and 63, respectively.
Senior Madi Corey (Frankfort, Ill. - Lincoln-Way East) has accumulated 238 assists, while freshman
Ava Porada (Frankfort, Ill. - Lincoln-Way East) is second with 200 assists. Porada leads the team in aces with 22.
Senior Amber Juarez (Bloomington, Ill. - Normal U High) leads the defensive unit with 166 digs.
IWU has produced 557 kills, in comparison to 517 by their opponents, which equates to 12.4 kills per set with a .177 hitting percentage. The Green and White has produced 85 aces, which is 18 more than their competition. The team also has an assist advantage of 530-482.
