BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan women's volleyball team will compete against Elmhurst College in its College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin opener Wednesday, Sept. 15 at R.A. Faganel Hall. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Green and White is looking to bounce back after going 1-3 in the Holiday Inn Classic this past weekend, Sept. 10-11. The team's lone victory came against Monmouth College in straight sets. IWU then saw defeats from No. 11 Ohio Northern University in five sets, Earlham College in four sets, and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in straight sets. The Titans' record stands at 5-5. Meanwhile, Elmhurst enters the conference clash at 1-3. The Bluejays, who began the year ranked inside the top-25, have lost three straight.

Senior Amber Juarez (Bloomington, Ill. - Normal U High) is leading the Illinois Wesleyan defense with 136 digs. Junior Grace Sanders (Bloomington, Ill - Bloomington) has produced 97 digs, while senior Madi Corey (Frankfort, Ill. - Lincoln-Way East) has accumulated 68 digs. In total, IWU is notching 16.6 digs per set, which is good for 598 digs for the season. 

On the offensive side, the Titans have manufactured 455 kills during the year. Senior Coutney McAuliffe (Lemont, Ill. - Lemont) accounts for 21 percent of the Green and White's kills with 96. Sanders and senior Jessica McCall (Wayne, Ill. - Wheaton St. Francis) have recorded 70 and 64 kills, respectively.

IWU owns a 68-52 ace advantage over their competition along with an assist margin of 432-397. Four Titans have recorded 10+ aces this season, led by freshman setter Ava Porada (Frankfort, Ill. - Lincoln-Way East) with 16. Corey and Porada have also tag-teamed setting duties, notching 193 and 161 assists, respectively.
