NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Senior Jimmy Morton (Sugar Grove, Ill.-Marmion Academy) of the Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team earned College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Golfer of the Week honors for the second time in his career Tuesday, Sept. 14. Morton was named Co-Golfer of the Week alongside Millikin's Jack Patterson.

Morton led the Titans to a runner-up finish at the Carthage Fall Invitational, Sept. 10-11. The Sugar Grove, Ill. product tied for third with a 36-hole score of 143. After carding an opening round two-over 73, Morton fired a one-under 70 to catapult into a tie for third. 

Morton, who previously garnered the accolade as a sophomore March 17, 2020, is the first Titan to receive the recognition this season.

Illinois Wesleyan turns its attention to the NCAA Division III Fall Preview Sunday-Tuesday, Sept. 19-20 at Mission Inn and Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
