BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team heads to La Crosse, Wis. for back-to-back games Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 11-12. The Titans prepare to play No. 24 Wartburg College Saturday, Sept. 11 and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Sunday, Sept. 12. The games are scheduled for 3 p.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.

First on the schedule, IWU will compete against No. 24 Wartburg who was ranked in the Top-25 Preseason Poll announced by the United Soccer Coaches Association on Aug. 4. The Titans and Knights will meet for the first time ever this weekend. Wartburg is coming off a three-game winning streak, the latest including a 2-1 win over St. Olaf College Tuesday, Sept. 7.

IWU has a quick turnaround as Sunday's 1 p.m. game is against weekend host, UW-La Crosse. The two teams have played each other a total of three times dating back to the 2017 season. The Titans hold an overall series record of 1-1-1 with UWL. The Eagles are 2-1 overall after facing its first-loss on the year against Augsburg (Minn.) Tuesday, Sept. 7.

UWL plays Dominican (Ill.) Saturday, Sept. 4 before squaring off against the Titans the following day.
