BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's soccer team opens its 2021 season at home Wednesday, Sept. 1 with a non-conference duel against Washington University-St. Louis. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. under the lights at Neis Field.
Head coach Kyle Schauls enters his eighth season at the helm with 16 newcomers. The 2020 season saw the Titans play only four games, due to COVID-19. Senior
Zack Kokes (Naperville, Ill.-Naperville Central) scored a team-high three goals, including a game-winner, in those four games and looks to pace the Titan offense again in 2021.
Both Kokes and senior
Logan Servin (Milton, Wis.-Milton) played significant minutes for the 2019 IWU team that reached the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament Championship match. The Titans return a total of 15 players from the 2019 team, including nine seniors.
IWU's season opener is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Neis Field. A livestream of the game can be found here, and live stats can be found
