Men’s Tennis Closes its Season with CCIW Quarterfinals Loss

Titans topped 6-1 by Carthage

KENOSHA, Wis. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis team fell to Carthage College, 6-1, in the quarterfinals of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament Tuesday, May 4. The Titans finish their season with an overall record of 7-8 and 1-5 in the CCIW.

At No. 1 doubles junior Demetrios Triantafel (Indian Head Park, Ill.-Lagrange Lyons) and sophomore Carter Burk (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal U High) secured the lone point for the Green and White, with an 8-3 win. The duo's victory marked the eighth of the season for Burk and Triantafel at No. 1 doubles.
