Box Score NAPERVILLE, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University baseball season came to an end in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament Thursday, May 20, with a 15-3 seven-inning loss to Elmhurst University. With the setback, IWU ends the season with a 17-25 record.

Illinois Wesleyan could not dig itself out of an early hole, as Elmhurst's five-run first inning allowed them to coast to the win. IWU finished with five hits, spread among four players. Junior Collin Elvers (Hamel, Ill.-Edwardsville) went 2-for-2 with a walk, while junior Dominic DiLello (Springfield, Ill.-Sacred Heart-Griffin) went 1-for-4 with two RBIs.

Senior Hunter Simon (Verona, Ill.-Seneca) started the game on the mound and dipped to 3-3 on the season. Freshman Will Kafer (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal West) was the last of five IWU pitchers to make an appearance, tossing a 1-2-3 seventh in relief.
