KENOSHA, Wis. - After more than a week off, the Illinois Wesleyan University baseball team travels to Kenosha, Wis. Sunday-Monday, April 11-12, for a three-game series against Carthage College. The set gets underway with a doubleheader on Sunday at 1 p.m., while a single game on Monday concludes the series.

The series was originally scheduled for April 10-11, but a rainy Saturday forecast forced the series to be bumped back a day.

IWU is 10-9 on the season, 5-6 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin, and looks to build off a 6-4 win over North Park, April 3. Meanwhile, Carthage checks in at 9-7 on the year, 4-5 in CCIW play. The Firebirds dip back into league play with hopes of extending their four-game CCIW win streak. Carthage suffered a 11-9 loss to Lakeland its last time out, April 7.

Illinois Wesleyan and Carthage have played 104 times since 1989, with the series sitting dead-even at 52-52. IWU holds a slim 44-42 edge in CCIW games against Carthage. The Titans took two of three in the 2019 series, winning the first two games by scores of 4-0 and 6-2, before the Firebirds snagged the finale, 6-0.
