Men’s Tennis Celebrates Seniors as Part of Regular Season Finale

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis team came up short against Millikin University, 7-2 Saturday, April 24 at Evergreen Racquet Club. The Titans sit even with a 7-7 overall record and moved to 1-5 in the conference. The Big Blue moved to 6-9 on the year and 3-4 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin.

Senior Justin Piotrowski (Palatine, Ill.-Fremd) secured the lone singles point for the Green and White at No. 4 singles. The senior collected his win with scores of 7-6 and 6-1.

The freshman duo of Ryan McCoy (Arlington Heights, Ill.-Rolling Meadows) and Evan Turnbull (Bloomington, Ill.-Bloomington) pulled together to take the Titans only doubles win in the No. 3 position over their Big Blue opposition, 8-3.

IWU heads to the CCIW Quarterfinals Tuesday May 4, more details will follow once the CCIW men's tennis regular season comes to an end.
