Series kicks off with doubleheader in Chicago April 2

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University baseball team takes on North Park University in a three-game series this weekend, April 2-3. The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin set kicks off with a doubleheader Friday, April 2, in Chicago at 1 p.m. The weekend finale is set for 1 p.m. at Horenberger Field.

Illinois Wesleyan is 9-7 on the season, 4-4 in league play, while North Park has stumbled to 6-7 overall and 1-7 in CCIW games. The Titans came up short in their CCIW opener against the Vikings back on March 16, falling 2-1 at home.

IWU, which has won three of its last five, is looking to bounce back from a loss to No. 9 North Central, March 30. Meanwhile, NPU is hoping to get off the schneid and snap its seven-game losing skid.
