Men’s Soccer Remains at Home Against Bluejays

Titans are 1-0 on the season

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's soccer team will host Elmhurst University Saturday, March 27 in its second game of the season. Kick off is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start.  The Titans return to the pitch after a 2-1 OT win against Augustana Sunday, March 22. The Titans are 1-0 on the season as the Blue Jays will enter Neis Field to play their first match of the season. 

Senior Bobby Reichert (Yorkville, Ill.-Yorkville) recorded his first goal of the season on a free kick launched in by fellow senior Mateo Grajales (Parker, Colo.-Regis Jesuit), which tied the game 1-1 and pushed the match into overtime.

Junior Zack Kokes (Naperville, Ill.-Naperville Central) registered the golden-goal and won the game for IWU after he sent in a free kick a few yards outside Auggie's 18-yard box, soaring over the keeper and into the mesh.
